John Sauter, DDS, MDS
I cannot imagine a happier, more fulfilling career than orthodontics. Every day I meet and spend time with people who are choosing to make a lasting change in their lives. I share in their enthusiasm to get started and accompany them on the journey. Watching each gain self-esteem and confidence, seeing the most self-conscious person come out of their shell and engage with others, is incredibly rewarding.
As an orthodontist, my goal is to make each person’s treatment experience comfortable, efficient, and effective. I want my patients to enjoy their time in braces, to feel safe and supported during treatment, and to finish with their best smile.
My team shares my commitment to patient-centered care, and passion for delivering the best orthodontics experience. They are compassionate, respectful, and genuinely love what they do. Our patients tell me that my staff is the best, and I agree!
Orthodontics is a continually advancing specialty. Around the world, new techniques, materials, and technologies are developed, tested, and brought to market. It is my responsibility to stay current on new options as well as constantly to strengthen and broaden my skills.
Over the course of my career I have completed hundreds of hours of continuing education. I have studied locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally, participated in seminars and lectures, and attended professional meetings.
As a result of my continuing education and constant striving to stay at the leading edge of the specialty I have been recognized as a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.
- American Association of Orthodontists
- Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists
- Orange County Dental Society
- Tri County Dental Society
Beyond the Practice
I was raised in the Upper Midwest and attended grade school, high school, and college in Ohio. For about the last 30 years I’ve lived in Newport Beach.
Time with my family is important to me. I have three children, three grandchildren, and a St. Charles Retriever. Outside of work, I love golfing, enjoy trying new restaurants, and attend as many college football and soccer games as I can. I have also coached local youth soccer.
